Devon
Horror movies have been such a large part of my life for so long and this podcast is such a fun way to share them with my favorite person...and you all! I actually used to be incredibly scared of, well, scary movies after my mom lovingly shared the IT miniseries with me when I was around 8 years old.
It wasn't until middle school, when I saw my first scary movie in theaters (When a Stranger Calls), that I found out horror movies can also be funny and it can be fun to feel scared. Since then, horror movies have been a big part of my life, whether it's been watching them with friends, seeing the latest horror flick in theaters on date night, or spending Halloween binging the classics.
Favorite horror movies: Midsommar, As Above So Below, Blair Witch Project, Silent Hill, Stay Alive, Doctor Sleep
Joe
Signs and The Blair Witch Project are to blame for my horror movie addiction. And my father letting me watch Schindler's List at an extremely young age certainly left an impression. I took that love of movies all the way to film school and still carry it with me today.
Horror films have always held a very special place in my heart, especially since Devon and I spent our first date seeing Mama. Watching a movie and feeling scared is a unique way to experience terror, dread and the unsettling feeling prickling under your skin.
Favorite horror movies: The Shining, The Conjuring, V/H/S, The Witch, Signs, The Thing, REC, Jeepers Creepers
